FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide snacks?
Yes, snacks are included in tuition. We provide dye-free and all snacks are tree-nut and peanut-free to ensure safety for students with allergies.
How do you communicate with parents?
We believe communication should be open, and easy. We use a private classroom cell phone that parents can call or text directly anytime they need to reach a teacher. We also have a private Facebook group exclusively for our families, where we share daily photos, videos, updates, and moments from the classroom so you can feel connected to your child’s day.
Are you open year-round?

Our school operates September–June. We also offer 2-week summer camp sessions, and families are welcome to sign up for one, several, or all sessions depending on what best fits their summer needs.

Do you celebrate holidays and birthdays?

Yes, we celebrate all major U.S. holidays throughout the school year. If your family celebrates a specific holiday, we would love for you to share it with us so we can include it in our classroom curriculum. Birthdays are also recognized and celebrated in class. Parents are welcomed to join and attend birthday festivities

Do students have to be potty trained?
Yes, with our recorded license we have with the state of Oregon. All students must be potty trained. We are happy to help with wiping and buttoning up clothes, if needed. They must be able to get on and off the toilet independently
Are all teachers certified in CPR and first aid?
Yes. All staff are required to have up to date first aid and CPR training.
What curriculum do you use?
We use the Pocket of Preschool. It is designed for ages 3-6 and offers a strong balance of academics, play-based learning and hands-on activities. One of the reasons we love it is that it’s easy to adapt for different skill levels, so every child can learn at their own pace while still being engaged and challenged throughout the year.
